Community blessings for Unbound’s Antipolo office

As we reported in 2015, our program in Antipolo, Philippines, built a new office space and community center. The building project was a community effort, with fathers of sponsored children employed as construction workers, along with others from the local community, and several Antipolo alumni lent their expertise to the project.

The Unbound community in Antipolo recently held a celebration to bless the new building. Father Richard Magararu officiated the blessing, and several members from the community also offered their own prayers in Tagalog, the language spoken by many Filipinos.

Here are their prayers, along with an English translation.

Prayer offered by Niño Godio, a staff member from the Anitpolo office

Lord God, we commemorate and pray today, for this very special way that all the people connected through Unbound in the world; our generous and kind sponsors, staff, workers, sponsored members and their families. May your love and endless blessings that you bestowed unto us be fruitful and meaningful into the lives of each child and elderly and their families that we serve.

Prayer offered by Melchor, father of a sponsored member and ERPAT Federation president

May this change on us bring unity, justice, true and everlasting peace following your will and holiness.

  1. Congratulations! I add my prayers for the new office and the Unbound Antipolo community:

    “O God, protect our going out and our coming in;
    Let us share the hospitality of this new office with all who visit us, that those who enter here may know your love and peace.
    Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.”

    May God continue to bless the people and good works of Unbound Antipolo. May the new facility shine as a bastion of goodwill, hope, love and peace.
