Happy Fourth of July! It’s Independence Day in America, and we are celebrating freedom with fireworks, food, friends and family. But let’s not stop there — what a great time to remember that the freedom we enjoy can help others, and the Unbound community around the world has many freedoms big and small that are worth celebrating.

The name Unbound means freedom. When you sponsor someone through Unbound, you are creating an opportunity for self-determination and independence in their life. Your sponsorship is a symbol of liberation, providing the space for that friend to make choices that challenge poverty and expand their livelihood.

Our friends in the Unbound program celebrate that independence every day. As they go to school, hop on their bikes to get to work, or find extra time in their day to make a new friend — they understand that these “small” freedoms are actually huge symbols of progress.

As we celebrate America today, let’s also honor freedoms throughout the world, big and small.

Celebrate your freedom by helping others. Sponsor today.
