Although Blanca and Kendall don’t speak the same language, they didn’t have any problems communicating. They shared and played together in the universal language of friendship.

The meeting took place in “Cerro Verde,” a nature park in Santa Ana, El Salvador.
This park is one of the highest places in the country and has an incredible view of the Izalco volcano and Coatepeque Lake.
Kendall saw the impact she was making in her sponsored friend’s life, and it really helped her appreciate the opportunities she had back home.
She started to sponsor after her grandfather began sponsoring a girl in El Salvador.
Seeing her grandfather become a sponsor motivated her to do the same.
Kendall and Blanca have a close relationship, and Kendall was very excited to meet her sponsored friend.
“[Blanca] is very special to me. It was great to meet her,” Kendall said.
For Kendall and her mother, Margaret, it was a touching experience visiting the CFCA communities in El Salvador.

“I enjoyed meeting my sponsor,” Blanca said.
Blanca is thankful for the help that Kendall’s sponsorship brings, and both girls have said they are not just friends, they are like family.
