“We are so grateful for the gift that Nadine Pearce is for CFCA and for each of us ñ sister, mother, friend ñ accepting everyone just as they are and encouraging us to be our best,” said Paco Wertin, CFCA chief executive officer.

Nadine was a familiar face here in Kansas City. She knew many employees by name and was a weekly volunteer.

She was proud to help process and send about 1.4 million letters from sponsored children to their U.S. sponsors annually.

We commend Nadine to Godís loving care and support her family with our prayers. She died exactly two months after her brother and CFCA co-founder Bud Hentzen passed away.

Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time.

  1. Dear Bob–
I’m so sorry to hear of Nadine’s loss, especially so close on the heels of your brother, Bud’s, passing….I never met either of them; however, I know if they are anything like you, this world has lost some valuable, loving, caring, and competent people!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, as they have been, since our visit to Honduras in ’09. We don’t get to see you, and yet your presence in our lives continues to mean something. I’m sure it’s like that since your sister and brother have passed. They’ll always be a part of you and with you!
    Our love to Cristina!

  3. I know here on earth we mourn for our loss, but we can rejoice knowing we have one more angel watching over us now. Nadine was a wonderful, caring lady who will be missed. I am greatful for all the things she did while with us, helping establish CFCA is quite an accomplishment.

  4. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nadine and her whole family. She was quite an inspiration for all and her work processing many letters from and to sponsored children and elders was invaluable. I am sure also that her daily rosary for Bob sustained him during his long walk. What a model she is for all of us. God bless and keep her.
