Thanks for helping us shine a light on poverty

Members of the Kansas City dance group El Grupo Folklorico Atotonilco perform Sept. 25 at Shine a Light, CFCA benefit concert.

Update: We also have a Facebook photo album of the event, as well as a video of the concert finale song, “Shine a Light.” Enjoy!

Thanks to your support, we celebrated our 30th anniversary and the completion of Walk2gether with a splendid concert and celebration at The Theatre in the Park in Shawnee, Kan.

Our gratitude goes out to all the performers:

  • CFCA President Bob Hentzen and Friends
  • El Grupo Folklorico Atotonilco
  • Nate Gawron and Friends
  • World Percussion Ensemble of Kansas City Academy
  • Sampaguita Choir of the Filipino Association of Greater Kansas City

… as well as all the volunteers, staff members and sponsors who made this event such a success!

  1. Bravo to all of you who participtated and to all those who wished they could or would have. My hat goes off to all those who labor to see that the poor get the food, clothing, etc, they need and the voice they would not normally have. God is watching….seeing….while all of you make a difference. With love and gratitude, Steven and Theresa Howard, Alajuela, Costa Rica
