The local NPR affiliate in Kansas City, KCUR-FM 89.3, will feature Bob on June 16 on Central Standard, the morning talk show hosted by Jabulani Leffall.
He will be talking about Walk2gether, the nearly 8,000-mile solidarity walk through Latin America. People outside Kansas City can listen to the broadcast live on the Internet.

The KC Royals baseball game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 22 will feature Bob as one of the Buck O’Neil Legacy Seat recipients.
The Buck O’Neil Legacy Seat is named after the first black coach in major league baseball. His seat honors “those who ñ on a large or small scale ñ embody Buckís vibrant and generous spirit,” according to the Royals’ blog.
The game starts around 7 that evening, and Bob will be recognized at the stadium during the game and the Royals TV and radio broadcasts on FOX Sports Midwest.
- Rockwood golf tournament
The Rockwood Golf Club hosts monthly tournaments during the golf season as part of its Rockwood Tournament Series. Rockwood features and raises money for a different charity at each tournament.
The club has graciously selected CFCA as the charity to benefit from its Independence Day Scramble tournament on Sunday, July 3 at 8 a.m. It will also donate 10 percent of the entry fees collected for the tournament to CFCA. Weíre very grateful for its support.
If you happen to live nearby, we would love to see you there!
