Bill and Jane May recently returned from a CFCA mission awareness trip to Kenya, where they met their sponsored friend, Enock. Here are Jane’s thoughts about the trip.

When people ask me about our trip to Kenya, I usually donít stop talking for at least an hour, pausing for a quick breath only!
I was that moved by the great people of Kenya and the extraordinary job that CFCA staff there are doing.
Where to start?
First, I was amazed at how quickly we bonded with our sponsored friend.
In a short time we felt like he had been part of our family forever. There was a closeness that I would never have imagined.
Secondly, it was clear that CFCA staff in Kenya take their job seriously.
They know how to inspire hope in children who may not have been able to have an education without their intervention.
These children who have experienced devastating losses have a strong faith in God and hope for the future.
They recognize the importance of studying hard as a means to becoming independent.
The mothers groups support this need for hard work and also learn how to rely on one another and even begin a small business venture to earn an income.
This was a trip of a lifetime, and I have been touched by our new Kenyan friends forever.
I have embraced the love and joy for life they feel, and I have learned to push aside the small things in life that really donít matter.
Thank you, CFCA, for such a humbling experience.
